VALET mode limits the engine power available. This function is particularly useful if someone unfamiliar with a powerful vehicle needs to get behind the wheel. It can be activated to restrain the enthusiasm of a young driver or to help with driving lessons, for example.
The reduction in power and torque induced by this mode is initiated by electronically limiting the range of the accelerator. Above a certain limit, which can be set, the vehicle is no longer able to accelerate.
Reduction levels
This mode is activated by simply pressing the VALET button on the DRIVAO. By holding it down, you can adjust the intensity of the reduction in throttle range. There are 5 levels of limitation available, for a reduction in performance of between 20% and 80%. Enough to (almost) entrust a Porsche to a novice!
Note that this mode can only be deactivated by the person in possession of the DRIVAO control or the application.
